Our goal is to create a space full of intelligent, authentic writing for women age 40 and older. We hope to stir conversations, amplify important voices, and share the experiences of other women in ways that bring us together.
Founder & Editor – Jen Roney
40 no filter was created by writer Jen Roney. She’s passionate about sharing stories that connect, encouraging women to support one another, and celebrating what real beauty looks like, in real women.
In over a decade of creating content on a wide variety of topics, she has always loved writing for women most. The 40 no filter story began when Jen herself turned 40, and the idea grew from there. She believes women who are stepping into grace and strength as they get older have stories worth telling.
Jen runs her own writing company called Mocha Creative Works, combining a love of the written word with a passion for online community. She works with a diverse portfolio of business clients to engage their audiences through content marketing. Lover of words, chaser of good things, Jen calls Calgary, Canada home, where you’ll likely find her writing, exploring the city, or running away to the mountains.
